I am simplifying all the “shoulds” of childhood, parenting, learning and everything in between.

Adding the real science, getting back to basics by focusing on what really matters, our children.

If the idea of one more thing on the to-list kills you, if the idea of one more development checklist sends you into a spiral then you are in the right place.

I am an advocate for keeping it simple, drinking our coffee hot, and finding joy and magic in parenting and education.

I am here to empower parents and educators to tune into childhood and honour the individual child. To focus on and teach the child in front of you.

This isn’t about doing more or being more, it’s about doing less to raise our children up, to hear their voices, and spark lifelong learning. The mainstream idea that learning is linear, that all children develop at the same rate with the same needs just does not fit the reality and instead of changing children to fit the box, its time to change the box.

Who is Simplifying Childhood?

I am Tiffany, the founder of Simplifying Childhood and the facilitator of Simplifying Childhood’s Professional Development Courses and Workshops.

I have been building my tool kit for working with children for over 17 years working in all areas of education from being a governess on a family property with 5 children under 7! To working in large child care centers, primary and in leadership positions within high schools. I have followed children through and seen not only where they start with developing and learning but where they end up.

But what I have realised is that early childhood has the biggest impact on development and learning and that the most powerful tool we have to change childhood outcomes is how we relate to and listen to what our children are telling us.
